About Us

Sanchez Oil & Gas Corporation (SOG), as it is known today, had its beginnings in 1972, when A.R. Sanchez, Sr., A.R. Sanchez, Jr. and a group of other partners, from Houston and Laredo, Texas, drilled their first well on the Hereford Ranch in Webb County, Texas.

The success of the Hereford area helped launch the independent oil and gas company, paving the road towards future opportunity and prosperity. The major areas of activity have been in the Gulf Coast, all formations, Mid Continent U.S., and Rocky Mountain states.
